By default, OpenCart’s administration dashboard is configured with one language. On **ruachost.com**, administrators can change the dashboard language by installing a new language pack and updating the settings.

## Why Change the Dashboard Language?

- Makes the backend easier to use for non‑English speakers.
- Improves productivity by working in your preferred language.
- Supports multilingual teams managing the store.

## Steps to Change the Administration Dashboard Language

### Step 1: Install a Language Pack

1. Download the desired language pack from the OpenCart Marketplace.
2. Log in to OpenCart Administrator.
3. Go to **Extensions → Installer**.
4. Upload and install the language pack file.

### Step 2: Enable the Language

1. In the left sidebar, click **System → Localisation → Languages**.
2. Click **Add New**.
3. Enter the language details (name, code, locale, status, sort order).
4. Save changes.

### Step 3: Update Store Settings

1. In the left sidebar, click **System → Settings**.
2. Select your store and click **Edit**.
3. Go to the **Local tab**.
4. Under **Administration Language**, select the newly installed language.
5. Click **Save**.

### Step 4: Verify the Change

- Log out and back into the OpenCart dashboard.
- The administration interface should now display in the selected language.

> **Important Notes:**
- OpenCart is only configured with one language by default.
- You must install a new language pack before changing the dashboard language.
- This change only affects the **administration dashboard**, not the storefront language.
- Clear cache after updating language settings to ensure changes are applied.
