# Adding comments to Ghost

Ghost does not include built-in commenting features. This guide explains how you can add comment functionality to your Ghost blog using **Disqus**.

## **Adding Disqus Commenting to Your Ghost Site**

Follow the steps below to integrate Disqus with your Ghost installation:

1. If you do not already have a Disqus account, go to **[https://disqus.com](https://disqus.com/)** and create one.
2. After registering and logging in, visit **<http://disqus.com/admin/create>**.
3. On the **Add Disqus to your site** page:

   - Enter a name for your site in the *Site name* field.
   - Select a category from the *Category* list.
   - Click **Finish registration**.
4. Under **Choose your platform**, select **Universal Code**.
5. Copy the entire code block displayed in the first box.
6. Connect to your server using SSH.
7. Go to the theme directory:

   ```
   installation_directory/content/themes/theme_name
   ```

   - *installation_directory* = where Ghost is installed
   - *theme_name* = your active theme
8. Open the **post.hbs** file with any text editor.
9. Scroll to the end of the file and locate:

   ```
   {{/post}}
   ```
10. Paste the code you copied from Disqus **right before** the `{{/post}}` line.
11. Save the file.
12. Restart Ghost. Comments through Disqus will now appear on your posts.
