Domain renewals are usually processed within minutes of payment. If the new expiry date doesn't show, check the following.

## 1. Is the invoice marked paid?

In the client area, go to **Billing → My Invoices**. If the invoice still says **Unpaid**, the payment hasn't been confirmed yet. See [My invoice still shows unpaid after I paid](https://helpcenter.ruachost.com/billing/guides/invoice-still-unpaid-after-payment/).

## 2. Check the expiry date in the right place

- In the client area, open **Domains → My Domains** and check the **Next Due Date**.
- Public WHOIS lookups can take up to 24 hours to show the new expiry date. Some registries update WHOIS more slowly than others.

## 3. Was the domain already expired?

- If the domain was in its **grace period**, renewal restores it, but it can take a few hours for the website and email to work again.
- If the domain was in **redemption**, it needs a restore, which costs more and is done by our team. The renewal invoice alone isn't enough. See [Renewing an expired domain](https://helpcenter.ruachost.com/domains/guides/renewing-an-expired-domain/).
- If the domain was **deleted** by the registry, it can't be renewed. We'll refund the payment to your account credit.

## 4. Website still not working after renewal?

Clear your DNS and browser cache, and check the domain's nameservers. See [My website isn't working. Where do I start?](https://helpcenter.ruachost.com/getting-started/website-troubleshooting/website-not-working-where-to-start/)

## Still not renewed?

[Open a billing ticket](https://dashboard.ruachost.com/submitticket.php) with the domain name and invoice number. We'll check the renewal with the registry and fix it.
