**Web Disk** allows you to remotely access and manage your website files as if they were stored on your local computer. You can create additional Web Disk accounts for team members, set permissions, and control access to specific directories.

## Creating a Web Disk Account

1. **Log in to cPanel**.
2. On the **Tools page**, in the **Files** section, click **Web Disk**.
3. Under **Create an Additional Web Disk Account**:

   - **Username** → Enter the desired username.
   - **Password** → Type a secure password (or use **Password Generator**).
   - **Directory** → cPanel auto-fills a directory based on the username. You can change it if needed.
   - **Permissions** → Choose:

     - **Read-Write** (default, full access)
     - **Read-Only** (view-only access)
   - **Digest Authentication** → Enable if using Windows Vista, 7, or 8 with unencrypted connections.
4. Click **Create**.

## Modifying a Web Disk Account

1. Log in to **cPanel → Web Disk**.
2. Under **Manage Additional Web Disk Accounts**, locate the account.
3. Options include:

   - ### Enable Digest Authentication
   - ### Change Password
   - ### Set Read-Only / Set Read-Write
4. Save changes.

## Deleting a Web Disk Account

1. Log in to **cPanel → Web Disk**.
2. Under **Manage Additional Web Disk Accounts**, locate the account.
3. Click **Delete**.
4. Confirm by clicking **Delete Web Disk Account**.

> **Note:**
- Web Disk accounts are ideal for delegating file access without sharing your main cPanel login.
- Always assign the correct permissions (Read-Only vs Read-Write) depending on the user’s role.
- Digest Authentication is required for certain older Windows systems if using unencrypted connections.
