Your **cPanel password** is the master key to your hosting account. It grants access to:

- **cPanel** itself
- ### MySQL databases
- ### SSH
- ### Primary FTP account

For security, you should change this password when you first set up your site and then periodically afterwards.

> **Note:**
- Always use a **strong password** (mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols).
- Change your password regularly to protect your account.
- Never share your password with others.

## How to Change Your cPanel Password

1. ### Log in to cPanel

   - If you’re unsure how, see our guide: *Logging in and out of cPanel*.

## Resetting a Forgotten Password

- If you forget your cPanel password, you can usually reset it from the **Ruachost Dashboard**.
- Alternatively, on the cPanel login page, click **Reset Password** and follow the prompts.
- If the reset option isn’t available, open a **support ticket** and Ruachost can enable it for you.
