**AutoSSL** in cPanel automatically installs and renews free SSL certificates for your domains. By default, cPanel sends you email notifications about AutoSSL events (success, failure, renewal). You can customize which notifications you receive.

## Steps to Change AutoSSL Notifications

1. ### Log in to cPanel

   - If you’re unsure how, see our guide: *[Logging In and Out of cPanel](https://helpcenter.ruachost.com/cpanel/getting-started/logging-in-and-out-of-cpanel/)*.
2. ### Go to Contact Information

   - On the **Home screen**, scroll to the **Preferences** section.
   - Click **Contact Information**.
3. ### Locate AutoSSL Notification Settings

   - Scroll down to the **AutoSSL Notifications** section.
   - You’ll see several checkboxes for different events.
4. ### Choose Your Preferences

   - Options typically include:

     - Notify when AutoSSL succeeds
     - Notify when AutoSSL fails
     - Notify when AutoSSL renews
     - Notify when AutoSSL certificate expires soon
   - Check or uncheck boxes depending on what you want to receive.
5. ### Save Changes

   - Scroll to the bottom and click **Save**.
   - Your preferences take effect immediately.

> **Note:**
- Notifications are sent to the **primary contact email address** listed in cPanel.
- Make sure your contact email is up to date in the **Contact Information** section.
- Even if you disable success notifications, it’s recommended to keep **failure notifications enabled** so you’re aware of issues.
