When using cPanel, you may occasionally see the error:

> ### “Your IP address has changed. Please log in again.”

This message is triggered when cPanel detects that your IP address has changed during your session.

## Why This Happens

- **Dynamic IPs** → If your ISP assigns IP addresses dynamically, your IP may change while you’re logged in.
- **Mobile connections** → Switching between Wi‑Fi and mobile data can cause your IP to change.
- **VPN or proxy use** → If you connect through a VPN or proxy, your IP may rotate or refresh.
- **Network changes** → Moving between networks (e.g., office → home) during a session.

## How to Fix It

1. ### Log in again

   - Simply re‑enter your username and password to start a new session.
2. ### Use a stable connection

   - Avoid switching between Wi‑Fi and mobile data while logged in.
   - If possible, use a fixed broadband connection instead of mobile networks.
3. ### Disable VPN/proxy (if possible)

   - If your VPN rotates IPs, cPanel will log you out.
   - Try disabling it while working in cPanel.
4. ### Check with your ISP

   - If your ISP frequently changes your IP, ask if a static IP option is available.

> **Note:**
- This error is a **security feature**. It prevents session hijacking by ensuring that only the original IP can continue the session.
- It does not indicate a problem with your hosting account.
