Your cPanel username identifies your hosting account. You'll need it for FTP, SSH, database names and some support requests. Here are three ways to find it.

## 1. In your welcome email

When your hosting account was set up, we sent a welcome email with your cPanel username, your server's IP address and your nameservers. Search your inbox for your Ruachost hosting welcome email.

## 2. In the client area

1. Log in to the [Ruachost client area](https://dashboard.ruachost.com).
2. Go to **Services → My Services** and select your hosting plan.
3. Your **username**, **server** and **IP address** are shown in the plan's details.

From the same page you can click **Log in to cPanel** to go straight in, without a password.

## 3. Inside cPanel

1. Log in to cPanel.
2. Look at the **General Information** panel on the right of the home screen.
3. **Current User** is your cPanel username. The same panel shows your **Primary Domain**, **Shared IP Address** and **Home Directory**.

On a small screen, the **General Information** panel appears below the tools. You can also click your username in the top-right corner.

## Your password

We don't show your cPanel password anywhere, for your security. If you've forgotten it, you can [change your cPanel password](https://helpcenter.ruachost.com/cpanel/getting-started/changing-your-cpanel-password/) from the client area.
