cPanel provides built‑in tools to help you monitor your website’s traffic and server resource consumption. These metrics are essential for troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring you stay within hosting limits.

## Viewing Visitor Information

1. **Log in to cPanel.**
2. On the **Tools page → Metrics section**, click **Visitors**.
3. Select the domain you want to analyze.
4. cPanel displays up to **1,000 lines of recent visitor data**, including:

   - IP address
   - Date and time of visit
   - Requested URL
   - HTTP status code (e.g., 200, 404, 500)
   - Referrer and user agent

You can sort results by clicking column headings (e.g., sort by IP or date).

## Viewing Bandwidth Usage

1. **Log in to cPanel.**
2. On the **Tools page → Metrics section**, click **Bandwidth**.
3. Bandwidth statistics are shown for:

   - The past 24 hours
   - The past week
   - The past year
   - Current and previous months
4. Usage is broken down by protocol:

   - **HTTP** (web traffic)
   - **FTP** (file transfers)
   - **POP3/IMAP/SMTP** (email traffic)

## Viewing Resource Usage

*(Available only on shared hosting packages)*

1. **Log in to cPanel.**
2. On the **Tools page → Metrics section**, click **Resource Usage**.
3. Click **Details** or the **Current Usage** tab.
4. Use the **Timeframe** and **Time Unit** filters to view usage over different intervals.
5. Metrics include:

   - CPU usage
   - Memory usage
   - Input/Output operations
   - Number of processes
6. Use the **Snapshots tab** to view historical usage at specific times.

> **Note:**
- Managed VPS and Dedicated Server accounts do not include the **Resource Usage** feature.
- High resource usage may indicate inefficient scripts, plugins, or traffic spikes.
- Bandwidth and visitor logs are useful for detecting suspicious activity or bots.
