The **IP Blocker** tool in cPanel allows you to block specific IP addresses, ranges, or hostnames from accessing your website. This is useful for preventing unwanted visitors, bots, or malicious activity.

## Why Use the IP Blocker?

- Protect your site from **spam or hacking attempts**.
- Block abusive IPs that generate excessive traffic.
- Restrict access from specific geographic regions or networks.

## Steps to Use the IP Blocker

1. **Log in to cPanel.**
2. On the **Tools page → Security section**, click **IP Blocker**.
3. In the **Add an IP or Range** field, enter the IP address or range you want to block.

   - Examples:

     - Single IP: `192.168.0.1`
     - Range: `192.168.0.1-192.168.0.40`
     - CIDR format: `192.168.0.1/32`
     - Hostname: `example.com`
4. Click **Add**.
5. The blocked IPs will appear in the **Currently‑Blocked IP Addresses** list.

## Removing a Blocked IP

1. In the **Currently‑Blocked IP Addresses** list, locate the IP or range.
2. Click **Delete** next to it.
3. The IP will be removed from the block list, restoring access.

> **Note:**
- Blocking IPs only affects access to your **website**, not email or FTP services.
- Use ranges carefully, blocking too broadly may prevent legitimate visitors from accessing your site.
- If you need to block multiple IPs, add them one at a time.
