When you install or renew an SSL certificate, your browser may continue to use a cached version of the old certificate. This can cause issues such as the padlock icon not appearing, or your site still showing as insecure. Clearing the **SSL state** forces the browser to reload the certificate from the server.

## Why Clear the SSL State?

- To ensure your browser recognizes a **newly installed SSL certificate**.
- To fix issues where the **padlock icon** does not appear even though SSL is active.
- To resolve **certificate mismatch errors** caused by cached data.
