Nameserver errors can prevent your website from loading properly. These issues usually happen when the nameserver records at your **domain registrar** and those on your **Ruachost.com hosting server** do not match.\
This guide explains the most common nameserver errors and how to fix them.

## What Are Nameservers?

**Nameservers** tell the internet where to locate your domain’s DNS records.\
If they’re missing, misconfigured, or inconsistent between your registrar and hosting account, your domain may fail to resolve correctly.

## Common Nameserver Errors

### 1. Missing Nameservers Reported by Parent

**Cause:** Your registrar does not list all the required Ruachost nameservers.

## Example

- **Server records:** `nsa.ruachost.com`, `nsb.ruachost.com`
- **Registrar records:** Only `nsa.ruachost.com`

**Fix:**\
Log in to your registrar’s control panel and add the missing nameserver so both match exactly (`nsa.ruachost.com` and `nsb.ruachost.com`).

### 2. SOA MNAME Entry Error

**Cause:** The **Start of Authority (SOA)** record points to a nameserver that isn’t listed at your registrar.

## Example

- **SOA record uses:** `nsa.ruachost.com`
- **Registrar only lists:** `nsb.ruachost.com`

**Fix:**\
Add the missing nameserver (`nsa.ruachost.com`) to the registrar’s configuration so both are properly aligned.

**Cause:** Your registrar lists more nameservers than are actually configured on the hosting server.

- **Server records:** Only `nsa.ruachost.com`
