**Yes.** Your website or app backend on Ruachost hosting can send push notifications to iPhones, iPads and Macs through the **Apple Push Notification service (APNs)**.

## How APNs works today

Apple's current APNs provider API uses **HTTP/2 over HTTPS**. Your server connects to:

- `api.push.apple.com` (production)
- `api.sandbox.push.apple.com` (development)

on port **443**, the standard HTTPS port. Apple also allows port **2197** if 443 is unavailable.

> **Note:**
Older guides mention ports **2195** and **2196**. These belong to Apple's legacy binary interface, which Apple has retired. If your code still uses them, update it to the HTTP/2 API.

## What you need

- An APNs authentication key (`.p8`) or certificate from your Apple Developer account.
- A library that supports the HTTP/2 APNs API, or PHP cURL with HTTP/2.

## If the connection is blocked

If your server can't reach Apple's servers, [open a support ticket](https://dashboard.ruachost.com/submitticket.php) and tell us the hostname and port your app needs to connect to. We'll check the firewall for you.
