Yes, **ruachost.com supports Emacs on your server**.

## Details

- Emacs is supported, but not all servers have it installed by default.
- To check if Emacs is installed on your server, run:

  ```bash
  ls /usr/bin/emacs*
  ```

  If installed, you will see a file named `/usr/bin/emacs-xx.y` (where `xx.y` is the version number).
- If Emacs is not installed, you can open a support ticket at **https://dashboard.ruachost.com** and request installation.
- Once installed, you can link the executable binary from your home `bin` directory with:

  ```bash
  ln -s /usr/bin/emacs-xx.y ~/bin/emacs
  ```

  Replace `xx.y` with the version number installed (for example, `23.1`).
- To start Emacs, simply type:

  ```bash
  emacs
  ```

## Best Practices

- Use Emacs for editing code, configuration files, or text documents directly on your server.
- Customize Emacs with packages and extensions to suit your workflow.
- Keep Emacs updated to benefit from the latest features and security fixes.
