**No.** Java is not supported on Ruachost shared hosting.

This means you can't run:

- Java web applications (`.war` files)
- JavaServer Pages (JSP)
- Java Servlets
- Apache Tomcat or other Java application servers

> **Note:**
This is about **Java** on the server. **JavaScript** in your web pages works as normal, and you can run server-side JavaScript with Node.js.

## What you can use instead

Your hosting supports these languages and tools:

- **PHP** (versions 5.2 to 8.5), used by WordPress and most web applications.
- **Node.js**, with the Node.js selector in cPanel.
- **Python**, with the Python selector in cPanel.

If your project must run on Java, [contact support](https://helpcenter.ruachost.com/getting-started/guides/contact-support/) to talk about your requirements.
