**No.** Lua isn't installed on Ruachost shared hosting, so you can't run Lua scripts from SSH or cron.

## Alternatives

- **PHP sites:** the **luasandbox** PHP extension lets PHP code run Lua scripts (MediaWiki uses it for templates). Turn it on in cPanel under **Select PHP Version → Extensions**.
- **Scripts and automation:** PHP, Python and Bash are available on shared hosting.
