# Do you support SRS (Sender Rewriting Scheme)?

> Yes. SRS is on by default for Ruachost email, so messages you forward to other addresses pass SPF checks and are less likely to be rejected.

**Yes.** **SRS (Sender Rewriting Scheme)** is switched on by default for email on Ruachost hosting. You don't need to set anything up.

## What SRS does

When you forward email, for example from `info@yourdomain.com` to a Gmail address, our server passes the message on. The receiving server then checks the original sender's **SPF** record. Our server isn't listed in that record, so without SRS the forwarded message can fail the check and be rejected or sent to spam.

SRS fixes this by rewriting the sender address on forwarded messages so that it belongs to our server. The SPF check then passes, and bounces still find their way back.

## What you'll notice

- Forwarded messages are more likely to arrive in the inbox.
- In the full message headers, the return path of forwarded email may look like a long address starting with `SRS0=`. This is normal.
- The **From** name and address your recipient sees don't change.

> **Tip:**
If forwarded mail still goes missing, the original message may be spam, or the receiving provider may be strict about forwarding. Consider collecting the mail with IMAP instead, or see the related articles below.
