# Signing in with Google or Facebook

> Link your Google or Facebook account to your Ruachost client area for one-click sign-in, and unlink it if you want to use only your email and password.

You can sign in to the Ruachost client area with your **Google** or **Facebook** account instead of typing your email and password.

## Sign up with Google or Facebook

When creating a new account, click **Google** or **Facebook** on the sign-up page and approve the request. Your name and email address are filled in for you. Add your phone number and address to finish creating the account.

## Link Google or Facebook to an existing account

1. Log in to the [client area](https://dashboard.ruachost.com/clientarea.php) with your email and password.
2. Click your name in the top-right corner and choose **Security Settings**.
3. Under **Linked Accounts**, click **Google** or **Facebook** and approve the request.

Next time, click **Google** or **Facebook** on the login page to sign in.

> **Tip:**
Your Google or Facebook account doesn't need to use the same email address as your Ruachost account. But keep a password on your Ruachost account too, so you can still log in if you lose access to Google or Facebook.

## Unlink Google or Facebook

1. Go to **Security Settings** in the client area.
2. Under **Linked Accounts**, click **Unlink** next to the account.

You then sign in with your email and password. If you never set a password, [reset it](https://helpcenter.ruachost.com/getting-started/client-area/changing-or-resetting-your-client-area-password/) first.

## Security

- Two-factor authentication still applies when you sign in with Google or Facebook. See [How to activate two-factor authentication](https://helpcenter.ruachost.com/getting-started/client-area/how-to-activate-two-factor-authentication-2fa-on-your-ruachost-account/).
- Turn on two-step verification on your Google or Facebook account too, because anyone who can get into it can get into your Ruachost account.
- We only receive your name, email address and a sign-in token. We never see your Google or Facebook password.
