**WebHost Manager (WHM)** allows VPS and dedicated server administrators to control how much **bandwidth** and **disk space** each hosting account can use. This ensures fair resource distribution and prevents accounts from overloading the server.

## Why Manage Bandwidth and Disk Usage?

- Prevent accounts from exceeding server limits.
- Ensure fair resource allocation across customers.
- Avoid downtime or performance issues caused by overuse.
- Provide upgrade opportunities for customers who need more resources.

## Managing Bandwidth Usage

1. **Log in to WHM.**
2. In the search box (top left), type **account**.
3. Click **Limit Bandwidth Usage**.
4. Select the account you want to modify.
5. Enter the maximum bandwidth allowed (in MB).
6. Alternatively, select **Unlimited** to remove restrictions.
7. Click **Change**.

WHM checks bandwidth limits once per day.

## Managing Disk Usage

1. **Log in to WHM.**
2. In the search box, type **quota**.
3. Click **Quota Modification**.
4. Select the account you want to modify.
5. Enter the maximum disk space allowed (in MB).
6. Alternatively, select **Unlimited** to remove restrictions.
7. Click **Save**.

## Monitoring Usage

- Use **View Bandwidth Usage** in WHM to see per‑account and total bandwidth consumption.
- Use **List Accounts** to view disk quotas and usage.
- Regularly review accounts to prevent overuse and plan upgrades.

> **Note:**
- Bandwidth and disk limits apply per account, not globally.
- Always back up accounts before making quota changes.
- Consider offering tiered hosting packages with different resource limits.
