Sometimes you may need to update text, links, or other content across your WordPress site. Instead of editing each post or page manually, you can use a **find and replace tool**. On **ruachost.com**, this is easily done with the **Better Find and Replace plugin**.

## Why Use Find and Replace?

- Quickly update outdated links or text site‑wide.
- Replace footer credits or branding in bulk.
- Modify HTML code or media references without touching the database directly.
- Save time compared to manual edits.

## Steps to Install and Use Better Find and Replace Plugin

1. **Log in to WordPress** with an administrator account.
2. In the dashboard, go to **Plugins → Add New**.
3. Search for **Better Find and Replace**.
4. Click **Install Now**, then **Activate**.
5. In the dashboard, go to **Find & Replace**.
6. On the **Add Masking Rule** page:

   - Enter the text to search.
   - Enter the replacement text.
   - Choose where to apply the rule (posts, pages, comments, etc.).
7. Save the rule.
8. Go to **All Masking Rules**, select the rule, and click **Apply**.

✅ The plugin will automatically replace the specified text across your site.

## Important Notes

- Changes are **irreversible** once applied—always back up your site before running replacements.
- Test rules on a staging site if possible.
- Use carefully to avoid unintended replacements (e.g., partial words).
