By default, WordPress displays the site title or page/post title in various places such as the login page, browser tab, or content area. In some cases, administrators may want to remove or customize these titles for branding or design purposes. On **ruachost.com**, you can safely remove WordPress titles using either **theme customization** or a **PHP snippet**.

## Why Remove Titles?

- Replace default WordPress branding with your own.
- Create a cleaner design without duplicate headings.
- Improve user experience by showing only relevant content.

## Method 1: Remove Title from Login Page (Branding)

1. **Log in to WordPress** as administrator.
2. In the dashboard, go to **Appearance → Theme Editor**.
3. Select your active theme and open the **functions.php** file.
4. Add the following code snippet:

   ```
   // Remove WordPress branding from login page title
   add_filter('login_title', 'custom_login_title', 99);
   function custom_login_title($origtitle) {
       return get_bloginfo('name'); // Replaces with your site name
   }
   ```
5. Click **Update File** to save changes. ✅ The login page will now display your site name instead of “WordPress”.

## Method 2: Hide Page/Post Titles with CSS

1. In the dashboard, go to **Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS**.
2. Add the following CSS:

   ```
   .entry-title {
       display: none;
   }
   ```
3. Click **Publish**. ✅ Page/post titles will be hidden from the front end.

## Method 3: Remove Titles via Plugin (No Coding)

- Install a plugin such as **Hide Title**.
- Activate it and edit the post/page.
- Check the option **Hide Title**. ✅ The title will be hidden without editing code.

## Important Notes

- Always back up your site before editing theme files.
- Use a **child theme** to preserve changes during updates.
- Removing titles may affect SEO—ensure headings are still present for search engines.
