No. Ruachost hosting is not certified for PCI compliance, so you shouldn’t collect or store card details directly on your website.

What is PCI compliance?

The PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a set of security rules for any business that stores, processes or sends card details.

How to take card payments safely

Use a payment provider that is PCI compliant and handles the card details for you. Your customer enters their card details on the provider’s secure page or form, not on your server, so you don’t need PCI certification for your hosting.

Popular options include:

  • Paystack
  • Stripe
  • PayPal

Most shopping carts and plugins, including WooCommerce, connect to these providers.
