Changing control panel template in Joomla

Joomla allows administrators to customize the backend control panel by applying different templates. On ruachost.com, you can change the Joomla administrator template to give the backend a new look and feel.

Steps to Change the Control Panel Template

  1. Log in to Joomla Administrator

    • Use your administrator account to access the backend.

  2. Access Template Styles

    Section titled “Access Template Styles”
    • On the top menu bar, click Extensions → Manage → Styles.

  3. Switch to Administrator View

    Section titled “Switch to Administrator View”
    • In the selection box, change from Site to Administrator.
    • This ensures you are editing templates for the backend, not the frontend.

  4. Select a Template Style

    Section titled “Select a Template Style”
    • Tick the checkbox next to the desired administrator template style.
    • Click Default to set it as the active template.

  5. View Updated Dashboard

    Section titled “View Updated Dashboard”
    • Refresh the Joomla backend to see the new control panel style applied.
