Installing AbanteCart using Softaculous

AbanteCart is a free, open‑source e‑commerce platform designed for small to medium businesses. It provides a modern interface, supports multiple payment gateways, and is lightweight compared to larger platforms. With Softaculous, you can install AbanteCart quickly and easily through cPanel.

Steps to Install AbanteCart

Log in to cPanel.
- Navigate to the Softaculous Apps Installer section.
Search for AbanteCart.
- In the Softaculous dashboard, type AbanteCart in the search box.
- Or browse under E‑Commerce → AbanteCart.
Click Install.
- The installation page will open.
Choose Protocol.
- Select https:// or https://www if your site has an SSL certificate.
- Select http:// or http://www if SSL is not installed.
Choose Domain.
- Select the domain where AbanteCart will be installed.
Set Directory.
- Leave blank if you want AbanteCart installed at the root (e.g., example.com).
- Enter a folder name (e.g., store) if you want AbanteCart installed at example.com/store.
Configure Store Settings.
- Store Name → Enter the name of your shop.
- Admin Username → Choose a unique username.
- Admin Password → Use a strong password (Softaculous provides a strength meter or can generate one).
- Admin Email → Enter the administrator’s email address.
Database Settings.
- Provide a database name or accept the default.
- Configure table prefix if needed.
Advanced Options (Optional).
- Configure automated backups and rotation.
- Enable email notifications for updates.
- Choose auto‑upgrade options for AbanteCart.
Install.
- Review settings and click Install.
- Wait for confirmation. Softaculous will display the AbanteCart login URL (e.g., example.com/store/admin).
