Migrations and legacy e-mail client applications
When migrating to modern e‑mail platforms, customers may encounter issues with legacy e‑mail client applications. These older clients often lack support for current security standards and may require adjustments or replacements to ensure smooth operation.
Why Legacy Clients Are a Problem

- They may fail to connect after server upgrades.
- Legacy clients often lack support for OAuth2 authentication, relying instead on outdated password methods.
- Using them can expose accounts to security risks.
