Can I sell on my website on the Shared Hosting Lite plan?
Yes. You can sell on your website on our Shared Hosting Lite plan, as well as on our Premium and Gold plans and our VPS packages.
Setting up an online store
Section titled “Setting up an online store”- WordPress with WooCommerce is the most popular choice. Install WordPress with Softaculous, then add the WooCommerce plugin.
- Dedicated store software such as OpenCart or PrestaShop can also be installed in a few clicks with Softaculous. See Apps & CMS.
Before you start selling
Section titled “Before you start selling”- Turn on SSL so payment and customer details are encrypted. See Does Ruachost support SSL?.
- Choose a payment gateway such as Paystack or Flutterwave. Most have plugins for WooCommerce and other store software.
- Plan for growth: as your product catalogue and traffic grow, you can upgrade to a bigger plan from the client area without moving your site.
