Do you support Lua?

No. Lua isn’t installed on Ruachost shared hosting, so you can’t run Lua scripts from SSH or cron.

Alternatives

  • PHP sites: the luasandbox PHP extension lets PHP code run Lua scripts (MediaWiki uses it for templates). Turn it on in cPanel under Select PHP Version → Extensions.
  • Scripts and automation: PHP, Python and Bash are available on shared hosting.
  • Managed VPS: if your project needs Lua itself, contact our team to discuss running it on a Managed VPS.
