Do you support IPv6?
No. We do not support IPv6 at this time. Websites, email and other services on Ruachost hosting use IPv4 addresses.
What this means for your website
Section titled “What this means for your website”Nothing changes for your visitors. Every device and network that uses IPv6 can still reach IPv4 websites, so your site stays available to everyone.
What is IPv6?
Section titled “What is IPv6?”IPv6 is the newer version of the Internet Protocol, the addressing system that lets devices find each other online. It was introduced because the world is running out of the older IPv4 addresses. IPv6 addresses are longer and look like 2001:db8::1, while IPv4 addresses look like 192.0.2.1.
Do I need IPv6?
Section titled “Do I need IPv6?”Most websites don’t. You only need IPv6 if you run an application that must accept connections from IPv6-only networks, or if a client or regulator specifically requires it.
