Does Ruachost support SSL?
Yes. We support SSL on all hosting packages we offer.
What SSL does
Section titled “What SSL does”An SSL certificate encrypts the connection between your website and your visitors. It turns http:// into https://, shows the padlock in the browser, and protects passwords, payment details and form data. Search engines also favour secure websites, and browsers warn visitors about sites without SSL.
Your options
Section titled “Your options”- Free AutoSSL: cPanel automatically issues and renews a free SSL certificate for your domains. See Your free SSL certificate.
- Paid SSL certificates: for extra validation, warranties or a site seal, you can order a certificate from the Ruachost client area.
After SSL is active
Section titled “After SSL is active”Make sure all visitors use the secure version of your site by redirecting HTTP to HTTPS. See How to force redirect HTTP to HTTPS using .htaccess.
