Setting up a virtual machine with VirtualBox for local testing

Virtual machines allow you to safely test website configurations in a controlled environment on your local computer. VirtualBox is a popular virtualization application that runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and provides a user-friendly interface for creating and managing virtual machines.

Virtual machines emulate a computer, letting you install an entire operating system within your existing OS. They run in an isolated environment, enabling you to test new features, applications, and configurations without affecting your main system.

By creating a virtual machine that mirrors ruachost.com servers, you can safely develop and test websites locally before deploying them live.
