Installing Ghost themes

Ghost themes allow you to customize the appearance of your website. This guide explains how to install a theme on your Ghost site.

Steps to Install a Ghost Theme

1. Download the .zip file for the theme you want from Ghost Marketplace.

2. Log in to your site using FTP.

3. Navigate to installation_directory/content/themes, where installation_directory is your Ghost installation folder, and upload the .zip file.

4. Log in to your site using SSH.

5. Navigate to the themes directory:

   cd installation_directory/content/themes

6. Unzip the theme file (replace filename.zip with your uploaded file):

unzip filename.zip

7. Restart Ghost.
8. Log in to Ghost as the administrator.
9. On the top menu, click Settings → General → scroll to the Theme section.
10. Select your new theme from the list and click Save.
11. Visit your site’s home page to see it using the new theme.
