Configuring Joomla Slideshows Using the Beautiful Slideshow Extension

The Beautiful Slideshow extension allows Joomla administrators to add image sliders to their sites with customizable animations and layouts. On ruachost.com, this extension can be installed and configured directly from the Joomla backend.

Steps to Install the Beautiful Slideshow Extension

  1. Log in to Joomla Administrator

    • Use your administrator account to access the backend.

  2. Install the Extension

    Section titled “Install the Extension”
    • On the top menu bar, click Extensions → Manage → Install.
    • Select the Install from Web tab.
    • Search for Beautiful Slideshow.
    • Click Install.
    • If the install option does not work, download the extension manually and upload it via the Upload Package File tab.

  3. Publish the Module

    Section titled “Publish the Module”
    • Go to Extensions → Modules.
    • Locate Beautiful Slideshow in the module list.
    • Change the Status to Published.
    • Save changes.

  1. Open Module Settings

    • Click on the Beautiful Slideshow module to edit.

  2. Main Settings

    Section titled “Main Settings”
    • Choose slider type (e.g., fade, slide).
    • Enable/disable jQuery.
    • Set width, height, and position in the template.
    • Adjust status (published/unpublished).

  3. Config Item Tab

    Section titled “Config Item Tab”
    • Add images for the slideshow.
    • Define animation speed and transition effects.
    • Set the number of images to display.

  4. Module Assignment

    Section titled “Module Assignment”
    • Under Module Assignment, select On All Pages or specific pages.
    • Choose the position where the slideshow should appear.
    • Save changes.

Displaying the Slideshow

  • Once configured, the slideshow will appear in the selected position on your Joomla site.
  • Test on the frontend to confirm correct display and animation.
