Do you support PHP sessions?
Yes. Ruachost supports PHP sessions.
What are PHP sessions?
Section titled “What are PHP sessions?”Sessions let a PHP application remember information about a visitor between pages, such as whether they’re logged in or what’s in their shopping cart. Most PHP applications, including WordPress plugins, WooCommerce, Joomla and Laravel, rely on them.
Using sessions
Section titled “Using sessions”Sessions work without any extra setup:
<?phpsession_start();$_SESSION['name'] = 'Ada';echo $_SESSION['name'];Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”If sessions aren’t saving between pages:
- Make sure
session_start()runs before any output (including blank lines or spaces before<?php). - Check that your browser accepts cookies, since the session ID is stored in a cookie.
- If your account’s disk space is full, PHP can’t save session files. Check Disk Usage in cPanel.
