Sending Test Emails from WordPress

Testing email functionality in WordPress ensures that your site can send notifications, confirmations, and other messages correctly. On ruachost.com, you can send test emails using the WP Test Email plugin.

  • Verify that your WordPress installation can send emails.
  • Troubleshoot issues with contact forms, order confirmations, or user notifications.
  • Ensure proper configuration of your hosting email settings.
  1. Log in to WordPress with an administrator account.

  2. In the dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New.

  3. Search for WP Test Email.

  4. Click Install Now, then Activate.

  5. In the dashboard, go to Tools → Test Email.

  6. Enter:

    • Recipient Email Address → The email you want to test.
    • Subject Line → e.g., “Test Email from WordPress”.
  7. Click Send Test Email.

  8. A success message will appear if the email is sent successfully.

✅ You can now confirm whether WordPress is properly sending emails.

  • If the test fails, check your hosting email configuration under ruachost.com Hosting Panel → Email Settings.
  • Ensure your domain’s DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM) are correctly configured.
  • Consider using an SMTP plugin (like WP Mail SMTP) for more reliable email delivery.
